Is a natural gas emergency generator right for your needs?

Here are some of the major pros and cons of natural gas-powered emergency generators:

  1. Natural gas supply is, for all practical purposes, unlimited.
  2. Natural gas generator availability is limited compared to gasoline powered units.
  3. Under emergency circumstances, availability and access to Natural Gas may be better than gasoline in different regions of the country.
  4. Natural gas is a very clean burning fuel.
  5. Large U.S. based supply of natural gas is available.

For those who want to have a large reserve of fuel, natural gas is an excellent choice. Keep in mind, however, that natural gas lines can break. Although breaks are rare, they have been known to happen as the result of natural disasters like earthquakes and tornadoes.
